Victor Osimhen turns down Juventus to Pursue €75 million Premier League move this summer
Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down an approach from Juventus, with the Nigerian forward prioritizing a move to one of Europe's elite clubs, ideally in the Premier League, during the summer transfer window. Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray for the 2024-25 season, is contracted to Serie A side Napoli but intends to secure a permanent transfer to a new club this summer.

According to JuveFC, as relayed by Football Italia, Juventus made their intentions clear in recent discussions with the 26-year-old, presenting their vision for the club ahead of the 2025-26 season. Despite acknowledging their interest, Osimhen reportedly expressed gratitude but made it clear that his preference lies in joining a Premier League club, which he sees as a more fitting step in his career.
Osimhen’s €75 million release clause will become active next summer, which has only heightened interest in his services. Juventus, in particular, has been actively searching for a reliable goal-scorer to replace the underperforming Dusan Vlahovic. While they have secured Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG for the remainder of the season, the club’s pursuit of Osimhen suggests they are unlikely to make Kolo Muani’s move permanent.
Earlier this week, SPORT, a Catalan newspaper, reported that Barcelona had also been in discussions regarding Osimhen’s potential move to Spain. However, the Spanish giants have ruled out a deal for the striker, citing the player's high wage demands and significant transfer fee, which are beyond their current financial capabilities.
Osimhen, who has been in sensational form for Galatasaray, has scored 28 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions this season. His next appearance is scheduled for April 11, when Galatasaray faces Samsunspor in a key Super Lig match. Currently leading the Turkish league, Galatasaray holds a six-point advantage over second-place Fenerbahce, with one game in hand.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Osimhen's future remains uncertain, but his desire for a move to a top Premier League club is now clear. Juventus, along with other elite European clubs, will continue to monitor his situation closely as his release clause comes into play. SA
